You may noticed that I continue my spring cleaning here on the blog.
Today I've tried to create new headers for this blog and my other blog Creative Living.
I'm still not happy with this one. Have to tweak it a bit more...
Something I am happy with, though, is my recent ceramic experiments.
As you can see from the first three pictures below, I've tried to make clay
look like cloth. What do you think - does it work?
Sorry about the bit of leaf on this one. I took these pics outdoors,
and my fingers must have been dirty! Oh well...
And here are a few other plates and bowls,
where I've experimented with different glazes and raku.

These are lovely. I love the organic shapes.
ReplyDeleteYes, very lovely. Particularly the top one.
ReplyDeleteI love the first one, as it's somehow soft (like a beautiful white fabric) and at the same time strong, too (to hold, carry and embrace things). And the organic shape is wonderful. Didn't know, that you're doing ceramics, too. GREAT!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely evening, Lisbeth

Thanks for your generous comments. The top one was my first try. I have more in the pipe line (read owen ;-)
ReplyDelete*oven*...
DeleteIf that was your first try ... WOW!!! Can't wait to see more ;)
DeleteWell, you know - beginners luck ;-) Seriously, I knew what I wanted to go for. The trick was to figure out how to get there. Once you do, it's not that hard.
DeleteThey are beautiful! Do you sell them in Australia?
ReplyDeleteJessica- how nice of you to ask! My line of work is actually design and (oil) painting. Ceramics I do for fun. Maybe I should reconsider? ;-)
DeleteThey are all so beautiful - adore the shape of the first one!!
ReplyDeleteI love the delicacy...
